Howlite is a stone that brings calm with alertness. It's white color holds energies of strength as well as innocence.

I was first introducted to Howlite as died turquoise. The porous nature of the stone allows various colors to be used such as turquoise, coral, lapis and red.
In its natural appearance, it is white with fine grey or black veins in an erratic, often web-like pattern, and is opaque with a sub-vitreous lustre. Howlite is also sold in its natural state, sometimes under the misleading trade names of "white turquoise" or "white buffalo turquoise", or the derived name "white buffalo stone".
